The Five Pillars Of Islam

One of the Islamic pillars is Salah, the obligatory prayer.

Tauheed (Declaration of Faith)

This is the belief in the oneness of Allah (God) and the acceptance of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as the final messenger of Allah. It involves sincerely declaring, "There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is His messenger."

Salah (Prayer)

Muslims are required to perform five daily prayers, known as Salah. These prayers are a way to connect with Allah, express gratitude, seek guidance, and seek forgiveness. Muslims face the Kaaba in Mecca while praying and perform specific physical movements and recitations.

Zakat (Charity)

Zakat is the act of giving a portion of one's wealth to those in need. It is an obligation for Muslims who possess a certain amount of wealth. By giving Zakat, Muslims purify their wealth, help the less fortunate, and cultivate a spirit of generosity and compassion.

Rozah (Fasting)

Muslims fast from dawn to sunset during the holy month of Ramadan. This means abstaining from food, drink, and other physical needs during daylight hours. Fasting is a way to develop self-discipline, empathy for those less fortunate, and a deeper spiritual connection with Allah.

Hajj (Pilgrimage)

Hajj is the annual pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia. It is a once-in-a-lifetime obligation for those Muslims who are physically and financially capable. During Hajj, pilgrims perform a series of rituals and worship at sacred sites, following the footsteps of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and seeking spiritual purification.
